If you’re interested in the arts, like trying new things, or just want to make some new connections in a friendly and relaxed space, this project could be for you!
This summer, Between Earth and Voice is running Turn the Tide; a week of creativity, connection, and culture for young people to devise an original performance piece.
Between Earth and Voice is a youth-led, multidisciplinary, creative arts organisation that works professionally and with the community to create powerful, poignant devised pieces of theatre. As young people themselves, they’re passionate about nurturing an environment where young people can have creative freedom and ownership over their artistry and voices.
This opportunity is a week long process to create a new performance piece. Any and all art forms including singing, dance, poetry, and even art forms that are not performance based. If you’re aged 13-18 and would like to get involved, here’s everything you need to know:
- Location: The Vale, Micklehurst Road, Mossley, OL5 9JL
- Date: 24-28 of August 2026
- For young people aged 13-18
- We are particularly – but not only – looking for young people from Mossley/Tameside to be involved.
- No experience required, just a willingness to try new things and create something amazing!
There will be taster workshops beforehand, from which we will form our cast of young people. These are not auditions, just a relaxed opportunity for us to meet you and also a time for you to decide whether you want to be a part of this opportunity.
The week will be completely free to participate in, we can provide travel expenses where necessary and food will be provided every day
