Join us for an afternoon of fabulous live music at The Vale as part of our Monthly Sunday Sessions 1pm – 4pm.

A relaxed afternoon of excellent live music in a welcome environment perfect for the whole family. Grab a drink from the bar, bring some pals, your kids, sit and listen or maybe even join our house band for a number or two. And best of all its free! We hope to see you there!

This month’s guest artist is Bay Bryan, a Colorado-born singer-songwriter and theatre artist now based in Manchester. His concept album The Meadow (2023) earned praise from the likes of BBC Radio 2’s Mark Radcliffe and DJ Luke Una, and led to performances at The Jazz Cafe, Manchester International Festival, Lunchtime at Bridgewater Hall and beyond.

Known for his transportive, story-driven songs and cabaret-like flair, Bay is currently working on his second concept album BAYARD; a kaleidoscopic soul-infused follow-up influenced by a wide range of artists like Amy Winehouse, Anaïs Mitchell, Labi Siffre and Stevie Wonder.

Our house musicians will be playing a mixture of Latin and Brazilian vibes with an informal ‘Pagode’ style set with a unique Mossley flavour.  Pagode is a type of samba originating in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Distinguished by rhythmic improvisation, its acoustic sound is created using a variety of percussion instruments, song and string instruments such as Cavaquinho and guitar.
