We are delighted to be able to share that Global Grooves have been awarded a Sustainability Fund grant from Saddleworth Community Hydro for The Vale. This funding is a big step towards our target of Net Zero by 2038 in line with Greater Manchester. In addition it will increase our engagement of local communities and young people in sustainability and the environment.
The project aims to cover the purchase and install of roof solar panels with an estimated target to generate 11,248kWhs. We’ll also create and deliver school and community engagement creative workshops inspired by the science and engineering behind the solar and hydro power workings.
We’ve started this project in earnest and are working to procure and install solar panels by the end of 2023.
