LEADERSHIP PROGRAMMES

At The Vale your creativity can open doors. If you want to build confidence, develop new skills or explore where your talents might take you, this is the place to start.

We offer lots of ways to step into leadership and discover what a future in the creative world could look like. You’ll be supported by friendly mentors and indusrty professionals who believe in helping young people thrive.

✨ Opportunities include:

  • Leadership Programmes — grow your skills in leading workshops, supporting groups, or managing projects.

  • Mentoring & Training — get one-to-one guidance to help you build confidence and take your next step.

  • Work Experience and Volunteering — try out real roles in the arts, gain hands-on experience, and learn how creative careers work.

  • Paid Roles — some young people go on to perform, lead sessions, or work as part of our team.

Many of our current youth leaders and staff first started out here — joining a session, volunteering, or taking part in a project. Whatever your journey, there’s room for you to grow and make your mark.

We are proud to present Creative Carees –  A free evening course for young people in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside. Over ten weeks, you’ll meet new friends, try out different creative workshops, and get hands-on experience in event production, the arts, carnival, and more.

You’ll also hear from inspirational artists, explore creative career paths, and even get the chance to design and deliver your own event as part of a new collective of young creatives.

📍 Sessions will take place in Oldham, Rochdale and at The Vale in Tameside.
