SUMMARY:Signs of Spring Walk
DESCRIPTION:As part of Greater Manchester Walking Festival we’re leading a walk to engage in nature as we walk. Join Jayne to walk whilst taking in our natural surroundings and observing the many signs of spring. Create a natural artwork with found materials along the way and enjoy a brew back at The Vale. \n \n  \nThe route for the walk goes up Castle Hill and then onto a rougher uneven path\, over Moor Edge road\, and back down to Huddersfield road\, with a short walk back to the Vale. \nThis is approximately 1.7mi / 2.8KM long and can take just up to 2 hrs. \nThese times depend on the walkers and how they engage with their surroundings. \n  \nClothing: Sturdy shoes for any uneven ground\, weather appropriate clothing as it may be sunny\, rainy\, windy etc. \nWhat to bring: You shouldn’t need anything with you for this walk but you may wish to bring a small bag to collect natural materials for an artwork\, a notebook and pencil to draw anything you see\, a camera to capture the day\, and any personal items you’d usually carry with you. \nYoung people:\nFamilies and young people are very welcome on the walk. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and are the responsibility of their parent/guardian at all times.

DESCRIPTION:Mossley Writers at The Vale\nMossley Writers is a friendly\, inclusive writing group that meets on the third Tuesday of every month\, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm\, at The Vale. Writers of all backgrounds and at every stage of their writing journey are warmly welcomed. \nA typical session includes sharing and gently critiquing members’ work\, writing together using fun and thought provoking exercises\, and enjoying plenty of tea\, biscuits and conversation in a relaxed\, supportive atmosphere. \nIf you would like to find out more\, join the mailing list\, or receive writing to read and critique ahead of meetings\, please email mossleywriters@gmail.com. There is a small monthly fee to cover the hire of the space at The Vale. \nYou may also be interested in The Tameside WordShop\, a year long programme of free writing workshops for Tameside writers. \n

DESCRIPTION:We invite you each Wednesday\, 1 – 3pm to join us for a couple of hours of friendly chat\, a hot drink and creative activity. \nEach week we’ll open our space to provide a warm welcome and an optional craft based activity. \nFrom May 1st for 4 weeks\, Cabasa invites you to be part of their natural dye technique sessions. Sign up by emailing  hello@cabasacarnivalarts.com to be part of this exciting project so they can manage numbers. Otherwise the session is still open to everyone to come in and craft\, chat and drink tea. \nAlternatively\, you can bring your own craft project from home\, play one of our board games\, log in to our on-line computers or just enjoy being around others for a couple of hours with a hot drink. No sign up is needed for these. \nWe warmly invite you to drop-in\, say hi and enjoy our creative and friendly space. Stay for as long or as little as you like\, find out what’s going on and make new friends.

The band were also happy to sell out their hometown show (Exeter Phoenix) of their 2023 Spring tour. \nFestival highlights include multiple appearances at Glastonbury Festival\, Boardmasters\, Boomtown Fair\, Beautiful Days and many more\, whilst taking their zestful live show further afield into Europe.
