SUMMARY:'Spectrum of Expression' - A Team Exhibition Viewings
DESCRIPTION:We have been working with Mossley’s A Team to create artworks and co-curate an exhibition of their work across Mossley this October. The A Team are a group of autistic people aged 14+ and their family and support network. Working in the mediums of clay\, photography and paint they have explored expressing their interests\, what the group means to them and their own artistic expression for the past 3 months. We are pleased to support the A Team and champion autistic and neurodiverse voices locally\, nurturing their talent and encouraging their artistic expression. \nThe exhibition will launch 24th October at The Vale 6-8pm and available to view for one week at the below times: \nThe Vale \nSat 25th Oct 10am – 2pm \nMon 27th Oct 9am – 12pm \nTues 28th Oct 9am – 5pm \nWed 29th Oct 9am – 5pm \nThurs 30th Oct 9am – 8pm \nFri 31st Oct 9am – 5pm \nSat 1st Nov 10am – 4pm \n  \nPattison’s Butchers \n159 Manchester Road\, Ashton-under-Lyne OL5 9ab \nMon-Sat 9am-5pm \n  \nGeorge’s Deli \n62 manchester road\, Mossley OL5 0AA \nMon-Sat 8am-4pm \nSunday 10am-2pm \n  \nGeorge Lawton Hall/Mossley Library  \n Stamford St\, Mossley\, Ashton-under-Lyne OL5 0HR \nMonday and Friday 9am-5pm \nWednesday 9am- 7.30pm \nSaturday 9am-1pm \n  \nThe Vale are also running two free workshops\, inviting people to creatively respond to the exhibition: \nThursday 30th Oct 6pm – 8pm : ‘Collage Yourself’  with Sarah Hardache \nJoin local artist Sarah Hardacre to creatively respond to the ‘Spectrum of Expression’ exhibition. Through collage you’ll create an artwork to express yourself\, whether that’s self-love\, manifestation or expressing something you usually mask.  This session is suitable for Ages 14+\, free to attend and booking is recommended. \nSaturday 1st Nov 2pm – 4pm : Self Portrait Collage with Martha \nJoin Martha for an afternoon to create a self portrait collage in response to the A Team exhibition.  Open to all ages this will be a chance to boost your confidence and be creative\, inspired by the A Team’s own work. \n  \n \n“I have loved the friendly\, safe environment to be creative. I have learnt a lot about photography and enjoyed every session.”  (Theresa – A Team Participant) \n“The A Team are so excited to be working with the Vale on the art project. Members of the group have expressed how being creative is not only fun and relaxing but it helps the group to talk freely and comfortably in a welcoming and supportive space which is hugely beneficial to their wellbeing. DESCRIPTION:Join Martha for an afternoon to create a self portrait collage in response to the A Team exhibition ‘Spectrum of Expression’. \nOpen to all ages this will be a chance to boost your confidence and be creative\, inspired by the A Team’s own work. \nThinking about your likes\, loves\, dreams and what your imagination holds you’ll create an artwork bursting with self expression. \nAll ages welcome \n2-4pm \nThis is a free session\, donations welcomed.  \nBooking is advised. \nThis event is in Studio 1\, with step-free access and accessible loos. A quiet space is available in Studio 2 if anyone needs some space during the session.
