She trained in classical guitar at music college and also works as a community and hospital musician\, creating welcoming musical experiences for people of all ages. Her rhythmic playing and open\, joyful approach invite people in\, encouraging connection and shared joy through music. \nEmz and Mara: Two multi instrumentalists combining their sounds\, layering bass guitar and flute. Both sharing a love for all things Afro\, Jazz and rhythm\, they have created a minimal set with original pieces to warm the soul. \nDia!: enjoy a vibrant offering of popular Brazilian songs and rhythms with Sunday Sessions regulars Holly Prest and Emily Wood\, and friends! Whether you are a sewer looking for access to a machine\, a sculptor needing space to spread out\, a musician in search of a quiet room to rehearse\, or a henna artist wanting somewhere comfortable to practise and develop your work\, you are very welcome here. \nThe atmosphere is relaxed and supportive\, offering time and space to focus\, experiment and make progress on your work. You can work independently\, or alongside other creatives\, sharing energy\, ideas and inspiration in a welcoming environment. \nIf you would like to use the space\, simply get in touch at hello@the-vale.co.uk to let us know what you need the studio for. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 12th April\nJoin us for an afternoon of fabulous live music at The Vale as part of our Monthly Sunday Sessions 1pm – 4pm. \nA relaxed afternoon of excellent live music in a welcome environment perfect for the whole family. Grab a drink from the bar\, bring some pals\, your kids\, sit and listen or maybe even join our house band for a number or two. And best of all its free! We hope to see you there! \nIf you’re interested in playing at our Sunday sessions then please do get in touch as we’d love to hear from you! \nOur house musicians will be playing a mixture of Latin and Brazilian vibes with an informal ‘Pagode’ style set with a unique Mossley flavour.  Pagode is a type of samba originating in Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil. Distinguished by rhythmic improvisation\, its acoustic sound is created using a variety of percussion instruments\, song and string instruments such as Cavaquinho and guitar. \nThis month’s special guest: Stephen Evans. \n \nFormerly of local band Cabbage\, Stephen now writes and records ‘jangly\, discordant’ pop music under the moniker prrsr. Expect an acoustic set of songs from this project\, along with others from previous bands including The Planets and ZX+.
