DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to welcome to The Vale the incredible N’famady Kouyaté.\nN’famady Kouyaté is a young master musician from Guinea (Conakry)\, now based in Cardiff\, Wales\, UK. N’famady’s primary instrument is the balafon – a traditional wooden xylophone\, sacred to West African culture and his family heritage of the griot. N’famady will be honouring our stage with his full band line up sharing a fusion of Mandingue African and western European jazz\, pop\, indie and funk provided by an ever-evolving collective of acclaimed guest musicians. Mossley is in for a real treat. \n \nN’famady’s performances create amazing atmospheres and vibrations wherever he goes\, and audiences are charmed by his infectious enthusiasm and joy. \nDoors 7:30pm\, Tickets £15* \n*A limited number of donate what you can tickets are available on a first come first served basis. We respect our audience’s privacy to choose the right ticket for their financial circumstances\, no evidence required. \n \nSupport: John Haycock \n \nJohn Haycock is an accomplished kora player having trained with Gambian griot and kora master Jali Nyonkoling Kuyateh for over 10 years.\nJohn’s musical inquisitiveness has led him to embrace the fusion of elctronic and woodwind elements in his compositons and live performances to create captivating and emotive soundscapes. \nInfluenced by luminaries of ambient music and minimalism as well as the improvisational nature of spiritual jazz\, John’s compositions evoke contemplative and ethereal atmospheres\, featuring dub-inflections that add a hypnotic and meditative quality.
