DESCRIPTION:Creative Careers\n3 November – 21 January 2026\n6:30pm – 8:30pm \nFREE COURSE for 13-18s \n\nOldham at The Old Museum\, Rochdale at Richard Street Studios\, Tameside at The Vale \nJoin Global Grooves to enjoy this free arts course for young creatives.  \nRunning from October 2025 to January 2026 \nClick below on the course where you live to see the dates and times. \nWho is the course for?  \nFor 13-18s living in Oldham\, Rochdale\, or Tameside \nWhat’s included? \n9-week evening course (in the town where you live) \n5 Carnival arts training days \n4 special event days \nChoose your session based on where you live: \nEvery Monday in Oldham (6:30-8:30pm) at The Old Museum \nEvery Tuesday in Rochdale (6:30-8:30pm) at Richard Street Studios \nEvery Wednesday in Tameside (6:30-8:30pm) at The Vale \nThings to look forward to: \n\nMeet new friends and join a new network of young creatives based in where you live.\nFeel excited about learning new things and exploring your creative side through different arts workshops and event production training.\nTake part in special Carnival arts taster days (choose from music\, dance\, or visual arts).\nHear from inspirational arts leaders and chat with them about your own goals and creative ambitions.\nFurther your skills and knowledge\, working with likeminded artists already in the industry.\nGain a deeper understanding of the arts industry behind-the-scenes through practical tasks that challenge and inspire you.\nDesign and deliver your own arts event and get hands-on experience as part of a new creative collective.\nLook forward to future volunteering\, placements\, and employment opportunities with the organisations and artists involved in the course.\n\nWhat’s included: \n\n9-week free short course including inspirational guest speakers\, tutors\, and mentors\nAccess to 4 Carnival arts taster days\nFollow up volunteering\, placement\, employment\, and mentoring opportunities\nTravel expenses if you need to claim them back\n\nTo get involved\, you would ideally be: \n\nBased in Oldham\, Rochdale\, or Tameside\nAged 13-18 (preference will be given to those aged 16-18)\nLooking to further your skills and knowledge of arts-based careers\nAble to attend all or most of the sessions\n\nWe are particularly interested in supporting young people who either are neurodiverse\, have no qualifications\, not currently in work or education\, or have faced barriers engaging elsewhere. \nTo sign up\, complete our sign up form below. \nWe can’t wait to meet you! \nPlease do email us if you have any questions. \nholly@globalgrooves.org \nAccess: If you have any access requirements to be able to attend\, please complete the form at the base of this page\, or let us know via email or phone (hello@globalgrooves.org / 01618706895). \n\nFor more information and to sign up for this course click here\n\nThe course will be held at Oldham Lyceum\, 95 Union St\, Oldham OL1 1QG
