Award-winning clarinettist Arun Ghosh comes to The Vale for a night of feelgood music from across his five acclaimed albums.
The Bolton musician and composer is a leading light on the UK jazz scene, and is considered a renowned innovator of modern IndoJazz. His band deliver a passionate sound, driven by soaring melodies, hypnotic rhythms and transcendental textures.
Sometimes evocative and introspective, other times searing and effervescent…the music is brought to life, and given breath by Arun’s uniquely expressive clarinet playing and style, vibrancy and spirit.
Arun, just back from a world tour with international sitarist Anoushka Shankar, is delighted and excited to return to the North, for this rare and special show of his own music, with his long-time Mancunian musical comrades.
Twice winner of Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year, Arun is a charismatic and communicative performer. These shows are startling, spontaneous and moving events…and so this is a gig not to be missed!

Coruja Jones writes beautiful songs with soaring high notes, combined with intricate, delicate guitar work into cavernous reverbs, which take aim at your heart. His latest record ‘Undo’ delves into the healing process in different forms and was produced by Sam Vicary (The Cinematic Orchestra).
He has been championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and toured with Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Joe Jackson.
